Dear Friend,
“Faith” is one of the most dominant subjects in the Bible. For example, in the New American Standard Bible Version, the word “faith” appears 378 times.
Jesus spoke of faith on numerous occasions:
He encouraged His disciples to have “mustard seed” faith so that nothing would be impossible to them. On several occasions, he praised the faith of those who boldly sought out their own healing or that of loved ones and told one such group of friends that because of their faith, their sins were forgiven.
The apostles and writers of the epistles further taught on faith:
Paul, in 1 Corinthians, says it is one of the “great three” that will remain until the end; faith, hope and love. The writer of Hebrews gives us the only specific definition of what faith is and admonishes us that it is key to pleasing God. James takes it a step further and tells us that evidence of true faith is our works.
Even so, oftentimes it is still difficult as Christians to fully grasp what faith is, what it does, how to increase it and how to practice it. In this course, The Faith Connection, we will review solid, biblical foundations that give the answers to these questions and will encourage and guide us to grow into that “greater faith” that enables us to be everything God has called us to be. Let’s dive in!
