Jesus came to bring liberty. This true freedom is not the absence of authority, but the establishment of God’s righteous government on the earth. The founders believed in this scriptural notion of civil liberties within the context of moral guidelines. In the past few decades, America has gone down on the road of godlessness, lawlessness and anarchy. Ever since the Sexual Revolution and the following moral decline, we have seen the increase of lawlessness in our nation. The Bible was dismissed as the product of man, instead of the revelation of God.
In this session, you will look at moral socio-political issues from a biblical perspective and discover that one expression of God’s love is to help people not go down the path of destruction. Just like boundaries and rules are there to protect your children, laws are set to protect citizens.
While current culture says that people can do whatever feels good, the Bible gives us clear guidelines and safeguards for the protection of each individual and society as a whole. The clear language of the Word gives you permission to acknowledge the difference between good and evil and take a stand for truth.
